The ideal candidate is an experienced advertising agency professional who is highly collaborative, outgoing and creative as a leader. This person has an entrepreneurial spirit who does not settle for the expected and pushes ideas beyond the obvious. The Managing Director is not necessarily expected to be an expert in the field, but he/she needs to have a real curiosity and openness to Digital advertising and to be constantly connected to it. He/she needs to poses a broad set of marketing communication/advertising and management skills. He/she needs to grow into a very good administrator (set up processes, budgets, profitability) in order for the company to deliver outstanding ideas, flawless implementation in an efficient way that would not only ensures a healthy bottom line but also establishes the company as a leader in its market and in its client relationships.

A seasoned candidate will also demonstrate the following responsibilities:

 

Strategic Management: 
.  Articulates the Company's vision, mission and values together with the shareholders and company’s operational management and ensures organization’s subsequent alignment
· Aligns all agency departments – CS, Creative, Webdesign, Development, and Media – to common goals & objectives pending to long term strategy as well as to each business year.
· Works closely with all department heads to ensure that long term objectives for the organization are being met.
· Applies its comprehensive expertise in advertising to raise the people, the knowledge base, the processes, the quality standards as well as the scope of work of the agency to the level of any ‘traditional’ major advertising agency on the Romanian market.

Client:
· Leads and manages accounts profitability acting as top level contact for Clients.
· Ensures development of new business acquisition strategy and is directly responsible for the execution of the strategy as well as developing new client relationships. Gets involved in major new business presentations.
· Takes an active role in expanding the volume & scope of business with existing clients.
· Assumes a substantial role internally to identify & solve issues in how the agency is serving its existing clients and that all client needs are addressed & met.
· Ensure the organization invests time & resource in research & development of new ideas and technologies in order for the agency to always be one step ahead of the competition & client’s expectation in a constantly changing & developing digital industry.
· Negotiates agency-client contracts ensuring the agency deliverables are according to the contracts.

Management:
· Responsible for managing the company’s P&L including revenue, costs, investments in detail according to the operational business plan for the year.
· Supervises agency-supplier contracts in order to ensure a steady workflow of outsourcing at a cost, a quality and a timing that suffice the client demands undertaken by the agency in client contracts..
· Assumes a leading role in company’s PR and promotional activities, including internal & external communication.
· Promotes new media capabilities across the companies in our group.
· Develops people within the team by coaching, identifying areas for growth, celebrating successes, managing promotion process, keeping an open dialogue with the team, identifying training opportunities
· Evaluate annually the senior members of the team.
Reporting:
· MD reports operationally to the VP, President, CFO and annually to the Board of Shareholders.
· To MD report the following positions: Strategy Director, Client Service Director, Creative Director, Development Director, Media Mgr/Director.
